How to Order

Ordering Information:
Orders may be placed by e-mail, phone, or conventional mail. All items listed are subject to prior sale, and are on a first come first served basis. In the case of e-mail the date and time indicating when the message was sent will govern. We will review all e-mail daily prior to specified business hours to ensure that all orders are accounted for prior to accepting phone calls. After receiving an e-mail or phone order the customer has seven (7) days (Continental US / Canada) or ten (10) days for all others to forward payment to STLW. If payment is not received within the allotted time the models will be placed back into STLW inventory or sold to the next customer. If there is a hold on an item a customer wishes to purchase, STLW will place a secondary hold on the item in the event that the first customer chooses not to pick up the piece. The second customer will be notified if the piece comes up for sale and asked to forward payment.

Payment Methods:
STLW accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover, PayPal, checks (personal and cashiers), and money orders in U.S. currency. The customers current phone numbers (home or work) and address (shipping and e-mail) should appear on all orders being paid by personal check. STLW will only call customers with unlisted phone numbers if it becomes absolutely necessary. Orders paid by personal check will not be shipped until the check has cleared STLW's bank, typically 5 - 10 days for items less than $3000.00. STLW will advise the customer by post card or e-mail (preferred) when an item has shipped in addition to providing the customer with the shipping company's tracking number in the event that something happens en-route.

Shipping and Handling:

Continental USA: Shipping costs for HO locomotives: $14.00 for the first item, $7.00 for each there after up to five, above that we will cover the balance. HO rolling stock or N scale items are $10.00 for the first item, $5.00 for each additional one. O scale items $20.00 per item. These prices are for insured UPS / Fed Ex Ground in the continental United States. Overnight, second day, or three day service to be billed at cost. Hawaii, Alaska, and foreign countries are charged the exact freight charged to STLW by the shipper. USA customers please provide street address, and a telephone number for ALL orders. Any foreign country surcharges will be billed accordingly. STLW does not accept C.O.D.

Insurance Coverage:

Insurance is included in the shipping charges and will be for the sale price of the items excluding shipping fees. We will not under declare value to reduce any import duties or fees.

Layaway:
STLW does not have a formal layaway policy however payment plans can be developed to meet the needs of both parties. The standard 90 day layaway is what is most often used, 25% down and 25% each 30 days thereafter. However if payments are later than 30 days after the agreed final payment date, the item will be returned to stock and payments forfeited.
